Machine Operator with Forklift & Labouring tasks

Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently seeking experienced factory operators with a forklift licence to join a leading manufacturer and global distributor of roofing tiles and bricks. In these roles you will work independently and contribute to your teams' overall success.

These opportunities provide an excellent pathway to establish or advance your career within the manufacturing and production industry.

We are looking for motivated, proactive individuals who are eager to apply their existing skills while continuing to develop and expand their knowledge.

You will assist across various aspects of the manufacturing plant and be trained in slurry machine operation.

About the Role:

  • Wednesday - Saturday roster (full time hours in 4 days of work!)
    • Wed 6am-1230pm, Thu to Sat 6am-6pm
  • Flat rate for all hours
  • Operating forklifts to move finished products
  • Manual handling of mixing bags (20-25kg) including up stairs
  • Conducting quality checks and collecting samples
  • Assisting tradesmen on site e.g. Electricians
  • Assisting with loading of mixing bags into machinery
  • Operating manufacturing machinery
  • Housekeeping and general tasks as applicable

About You:

  • Current Forklift Licence
  • Manufacturing/ labouring or machine operating experience
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol)
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Physically fit (repetitive lifting up to 25kg)
  • Reliable team player with good communication skills
  • Own transport (not near pubic transport)
